Mother seal and pup
Seals (Phoca vitulina) require a quiet and protected area to raise their young. I found 6 mothers and their offspring in a protected cove on Punta Banda, where they spend their days nursing, and playing in the sun.

The reflections in the water are from the sun reflecting from sea cliffs into which the waves have eroded caves—a perfect playground for these mothers and pups.
